Parental Feedback

At St Andrew's CofE Primary, we value parental feedback because it helps us understand what is working well for your child and where we can improve. We welcome comments on teaching, learning, communication, and the wider school experience, and we will always treat your views with care and respect.

We are proud of the progress our pupils make and the positive relationships we build across our school community. Your feedback helps us highlight our successes, celebrate achievements, and ensure that the support we provide is meaningful, consistent, and in line with the needs of primary-aged children.

To help us respond effectively, please share specific examples where possible and let us know what difference you have noticed. Whether your feedback is about routines, pastoral care, or day-to-day school life, we will review it thoughtfully and use it to strengthen our approach, support families, and continue to raise standards.

General: Thank you so much for all the support and love you have given ***** this year. On a personal note, thank you for all the support you have given me also! We are so happy that ***** attends such a wonderful school where the staff care so much. Have a lovely summer break when it comes.

Enrichment: Just a quick email to express our thanks for organising the drama performance of Secret Garden. It's obviously something of a classic but both ***** and *****  came home today so excited to tell me the whole story. They really enjoyed it. I know a lot of energy goes on behind the scenes to arrange these special things.

Choir:  Shropshire Sings - Thank you so much for taking the students to Shropshire Sings! It was such a beautiful event and **** is beyond excited to have been a part of it! Thank you for your hard work in organising the trip and thank you to the other staff involved who made it possible! Wishing you a restful evening after what must have been a very busy day.

Celebrating Shifnal - Thank you for bringing the school choir to be a part of the Celebrating Shifnal service last Sunday. They were absolutely brilliant, so well behaved and a real credit to the school. I received a number of lovely comments from our adult singers who complimented them on their enthusiasm and confidence.

Visitor: Being my first visit to St Andrews, I was welcomed so warmly by school admin staff who made the Sign In procedure very smooth.  I met Mrs Vanes class yesterday morning (split into two groups) and Miss Wyse this morning. ALL children, without exception were incredibly well behaved, lovely mannered, keen and (through me 'testing' their knowledge) have already grasped a great understanding about bees, beekeeping work and the environment.  I was particular impressed with their enthusiasm to add to their knowledge learned last week in the classroom.

Church: We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you, the staff and especially the children for being with us on Tuesday. Evelyn and I enjoyed our time with the children and, we think, that the discussion about Marriage and Weddings was very productive and it was so good to see the children engage not only with the discussion but also with the number of questions asked and to participate in the Mock Wedding. The children's behaviour is a credit to the school.

Sport: We would like to thank St Andrew's for the excellent sports provision provided to both of our children during their time at the school. Special mention must go to Mrs Tench as Sports Co-ordinator and of course, the incredible Mr Jones! Thank you, Mrs Skidmore, for all of your time, effort and incredible leadership.

Swimming: Can you please pass on my thanks to all those responsible for organising the pool. I'm sure it's been quite the feat to organise but ***** has enjoyed the experience so much. *** could already swim but the daily sessions have really given *** confidence and developed skills further. Thanks again for going the extra mile, ****** is nearly at the end of primary school and you're still throwing extra things that will make *** experience at St Andrews unforgettable.

Staff: Thank you to you and your staff, especially Miss Hassler – you have been amazingly supportive to us as a family during this time, I can’t thank you enough.

I just wanted to say what a credit Mr Sudlow is to your school, I have seen a massive change in **** over the last 9 months and it's safe to say **** adores Mr Sudlow. I think it's really important to have male teachers at a primary school and Mr Sudlow has really helped **** shine, from a parents perspective I have felt comfortable and heard whenever I have raised anything with him.

SEN: Thank you for all the love, care, support, kindness and patience that you have poured into supporting **** over *** time at the school. As a family we really appreciate all the care and support **** has been over the years.

Y6 Residential: Thank you all so much for giving the kids the time of their life! ***** has loved it! Have a good rest!

Y6 Transition:  We have some of your students with us today, and I have taught them English this morning, and they are a credit to your school. Their pronunciation reading aloud was beautiful, and they've created some excellent descriptions. I  just wanted to send you an email to let you know how impressed I’ve been with your Year 6’s today and yesterday. They’ve been a credit to you.

Y6 End of Year: Just wanted to message and say a huge thank you! You're a fabulous teacher but above that you nurture and care. Thankyou for being so kind thoughtful and knowing *****. You just "get ***" as you do all your classroom children. For that we are extremely grateful. My time at St Andrews as a parent now comes to an end 😢 fabulous memories to cherish from a fabulous school. Xxx

Mrs Bastable, **** has had such a lovely year 6 he's excited for the new challenge of Idsall but is going to miss St Andrews a lot. A special thank you for being so nurturing.

Treetops:  We wanted to take a moment to share our appreciation for the Treetops after school club staff. Mrs Brettle, Mrs Day and Mrs Stanton are absolutely wonderful and such a credit to the school. As working parents, it’s never easy having to leave **** and **** at school until late but knowing how much they enjoy their time at Treetops — and how much they love the staff — makes it so much easier. The care, warmth and enthusiasm shown by the team mean a great deal to us, and we are very grateful for everything they do. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation to the Treetops staff.
